Golfer's Elbow

Symptoms include:

Elbow Pain
Wrist Pain
Numbness and tingling in arm or fingers
Pain with typing or holding objects

If you are experiencing any or all of these symptoms then you could be suffering from a condition called Medial Epicondylitis, commonly seen in golfers, throwers, and even computer workers.

Pain is typically felt on the inside of the elbow and increases with activities involving elbow and wrist movement including gripping and holding.

Since nerves run along with muscles it is not uncommon to have a compressed or “pinched” nerve within the muscles causing numbness and tingling in your arm and/or fingers. This condition is typically caused by overuse of the muscles in the elbow or direct trauma. Either of these will create small tears within the muscle and cause the formation of scar tissue. Over time these tears build on one another until finally it causes a breakdown of your soft tissues resulting in pain and inflammation.
